For more than four years, they had done a handful of rescues, so in the summer of 2022, the couple went on a vacation with their three feline ᴍᴜsᴋᴇᴛᴇᴇʀs.
However, halfway to the destination, Megan spotted a little dog ᴡᴀɴᴅᴇʀɪɴɢ alone on the ᴅᴇsᴇʀᴛᴇᴅ street.

The next thing the couple knew when seeing the ᴘᴏᴏʀ pup was they could ʟᴇᴀᴠᴇ her in the middle of nowhere. But, because the dog was ᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏᴜs and ɴᴇʀᴠᴏᴜs, Megan waited an hour for the puppy named Kevin to approach her.
When Kevin was calm, they checked her info, but it was useless. So in the meantime, the couple let Kevin accompany them to Sequoia National Park.
The trip ended, and Kevin settled in Rafiki’s Rescue’s foster home. The adorable furball has been looking forwards to a kind family adopting her since October 2022. But, regardless of her effort, Kevin is still waiting at the shelter with her other rescued pet friends.
The couple’s vacation was memorable, not only because of the beautiful scenery and adventures but also because of Kevin.
He brought so much joy and happiness to their lives, and they couldn’t imagine their trip without him. Kevin had found a new family and had a loving home to call his own.
