After Being Used For Target Practice, Badly Aʙᴜsᴇᴅ Cat Is Adopted Into Perfect Home

A pet cat will bring love and joy into any home that accepts them with open arms and hearts, but that love gains a special meaning when the cat is a rescue from the streets.

Many of these adopted cats have been saved from the brink of (ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ). We hope that this story will convince you to adopt if you consider getting a cat. They need your love!

When we first wrote about Comet, the one-year-old Florida cat had been found limping and (ʙʟɪɴᴅᴇᴅ) in one eye. Thankfully, Comet’s rescuer rushed the abused cat to Helping Paws Humane Society, where workers removed pellets from all over the (ᴡᴏᴜɴᴅs) cat’s body.

But Comet’s injuries extended beyond being used for target practice. “He was limping because his leg was (ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ) and (ʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ) in four different places,” shelter worker Karen B. told Waggle. Sadly, the gravity of Comet’s (ᴡᴏᴜɴᴅs) left vets with no choice but (ᴀᴍᴘᴜᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ).

Fortunately for Comet, Animal Rescue Site readers caught wind of Comet’s sad story — and helped fund the leg surgery Comet needed to live a healthy, pain-free life.

“We are thrilled to tell you that Comet was adopted by a vet technician who is able to manage his ongoing health issues– he has since received further tests and vet procedures and is one step closer to recovery,” Helping Paws Humane Society explained.

Moreover, Comet’s new family even includes a tripod cat, who will probably be pretty helpful in showing Comet how to get around on 3 legs!

Comet is doing excellent and is very happy in his new furever home,” rescuers wrote. “Thank you again for helping us give cats like Comet the best medical care so they can live their best lives!
