Dʏɪɴɢ mom obsessed with ‘Bambi’ gets a special visit from a real-life deer

Animals can bring so much comfort to people in their times of need. It’s no surprise that when facing the end of life, many people want nothing more than the companionship of their beloved pets.

An Australian woman called Lisa shared a video of her mama, who loves Bambi animals more than anything. The daughter and her sister had been taking care of their mama, who was sick, for a long time. They were looking for ways to make her final days special — and were inspired by their mother’s lifelong obsession with the classic Disney film, Bambi.

The deer, who happens to be named “Bambi,” came from a petting farm operated by a couple named Chris and Simone. The deer was orphaned and hand-raised by the couple.

“She has Bambi statues everywhere, she is wearing a Bambi T-shirt in her bed,” Lisa said. “My sister and I and the rest of the family that is supporting us are also wearing Bambi T-shirts… we are calling them our nursing uniforms.”

Lisa writes that they paid a special visit, driving two hours from Melbourne “out of pure love and kindness” just to bring some joy to the deer-loving old woman.

Knowing that their mama, who was dʏɪɴɢ , was obsessed with Bambi, the girls decided to surprise their mother by bringing a real deer to the hospital to visit her! When the deer enters the room, the old woman is overjoyed and stunned with surprise and cry.
It was definitely worth it: the deer’s visit made for an unforgettable, heartwarming moment, as the mom gently pets the real-life Bambi from her bed.

‘Brought me to tears. What a special and touching moment. Absolutely beautiful people to drive all that way for your mum to experience something so magical before she passes,’ one woman wrote.

‘This is so beautiful. She would have absolutely loved this so much. You can see in her eyes how much joy it brought to her. Bless them, and bless you and your beautiful Mum,’ another said.
