Dogs do so much to help us overcome difficult moments in our life with their never-ending optimism and their endless supply of joy. And every once in a while, we get a chance to return the favor and do something for them.
When Nora was adopted by Elizabeth Spencer, she was frightened of everyone. Nora comes from an (ᴀʙᴜsɪᴠᴇ) home and was left with massive emotional scars as a result of it. Due to extensive (ᴀʙᴜsɪᴠᴇ) Nora was afraid of almost anything and anyone. Every time someone tried to get near her, the dog would lash out because she was afraid.
“At any time of day, you’re likely to find a pile of kids, cats, and/or dogs lying about the house somewhere,”
She adopted the English Pointer from a rescue shelter seven years ago before having her kids – and now, she has three children, three rescue cats and three rescue dogs.
From the second the two met, Nora accepted the baby, and from that point on, the two become almost inseparable. The baby’s relaxed attitude is what first attracted Nora towards the baby, and over time, their connection only grew stronger.
“Archie is an extremely laid-back, happy, good-natured baby and all the animals seem to really respond to that, particularly Nora,” Spence said. “She came from an abusive background and is afraid of almost everything. Not Archie, though. She absolutely adores him!”
