Loyal dog sacrificed his own life to save owners from the snake strike

Dogs are not only man’s best friend, but they can also be their hero and protector. A loyal dog is being hailed a hero after sacrificing his own life to save his owner from a venomous snake.

Dad and Rick were playing a game of tug-of-war in the backyard when the dog suddenly jumped right at his feet while snarling and growling. It all happened so quickly, Dad fell down wondering what was going on.
He was growling [ᴀɢɢʀᴇssɪᴠᴇly] and it looked like he was fighting something. Everything happened in a blink of an eye and Dad fell down. He was clueless about what was going on. He then saw Rick shaking what he thought was the rope in his mouth. But it wasn’t the rope used for tug-of-war…
To his surprise, it was a rattlesnake!

“Rattlesnakes are large,ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍous snakes that are found throughout North and South America. The greatest concentration of them is in the Southwestern United States and in Northern Mexico. Arizona is home to 13 species of rattler, more than any other state. The most [ᴅɪsᴛɪɴᴄᴛive] feature that these species share is the rattle.”

Reluctantly, the pet instinct of the canine was present and it saved his human’s life. Chief was there to stop the snake right off the club before it could indeed [ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ ] them. Sorely, the Rick canine was stunk on his nose and it started swelling up.

Rick’s dad didn’t waste another minute and carried him to the car, despite the situation. They immediately rushed to the vet to seek medical help. As the timepiece ticked down, the effect of the snake’s ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍ started to protest and poor Rick didn’t want to be touched.

Since Spike and Prinses have [ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ], Louise has felt a massive gap in her family life.

She said: “My family and I buried the dogs in separate graves, but next to each other, in our front garden the day after they [ᴅɪᴇᴅ].

“When we buried them Mariska cried so much that I cried with her. We also said a prayer for the dogs, it was very emotional.”
