The Dog Was Friendly, But It Was A Poor Animal. It Was Sᴛᴀʀᴠɪɴɢ
Wesley White was out kayaking off the coast of Belize when he noticed an animal near a fishing shack on a remote island.
The dog was skin and bones but very friendly. He called out for people, but no one was around.
Wesley had no idea how the dog ended up on the deserted island but knew he had to save the pup.
Wesley was concerned for the dog and tried to call out for help, but no one was nearby. He knew the dog would unlikely last even one more day alone on the island, so he put the pup in the kayak and returned it to the hotel.
When he arrived back at the hotel, Wesley called for help. He wondered if he could get the help he needed to save the puppy in time. Thankfully, some people helped the dog, giving him food and water before taking him to the vet for medical attention.
The Tiny Dog Was Tᴇʀʀɪꜰɪᴇᴅ
Wesley brought his rescued, now named Winston, to the mainland to visit the vet.
Unfortunately, Wesley couldn’t stay with the dog for long, as he was due to leave Belize in 36 hours. So, he asked the vet to update him on the dog’s condition.
Before long, the vet told Wesley that the dog was recovering well and would soon be ready to go into foster care. After just two months in a foster home, the dog was prepared to be reunited with Wesley!
Wesley arranged for the dog to be flown to Dallas, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.
What an incredible journey this sweet pup has been on! He is looking more and more healthy every day.
