We can all imagine what we’d spend our money on if we were a millionaire: cars, a nice house, etc. But one millionaire decided to be incredibly selfless, using his fortune to save the lives of thousands of dogs instead.
Wang Yan – a Chinese millionaire has given up all of his fortunes in order to save the lives of thousands of dogs. Wang Yan made the decision after his beloved dog was stolen from him three years ago and he believes it was taken to be [sʟᴀᴜ.ɢʜᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ].
On losing his own dog, Wang told reporters: ‘I went looking everywhere, but all to no avail. Finally, someone let me go into the [sʟᴀᴜ.ɢʜᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ] to try my luck there.’
After searching everywhere for the dog, someone suggested a grim last place to check: the [sʟᴀᴜ.ɢʜᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ]. Sadly, Wang Yan did not find his own dog in this horrible place… but what he saw there changed his life.
He knew he had to do something—and found a miraculous way to help the dogs: he bought the [sʟᴀᴜ.ɢʜᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ]… and converted it into a dog sanctuary! He was using all the money he had made, he put it towards building a sanctuary for dogs and started saving strays from their terrible fate. Using an abandoned steel factory as the shelter, he has saved the lives of thousands of dogs.
But his philanthropy has come at a price. Yan refuses to accept any monetary donations and does not accept adoption fees. He only takes donations in the form of food or supplies for the dogs.
Yan’s dedication to these dogs is truly incredible, and we hope he can continue to save as many of their lives as possible.
Everything he has earned has gone to the center, food for the dogs as well as their medical care. Since establishing the shelter, Yan’s saved over 2,000 lives.
No dog deserves to be in the [ᴍ.ᴇᴀᴛ] trade. Sadly, however, it is a huge problem across Asia. Hopefully, this problem will be resolved soon and the dogs will live a free life.
