Video: The Mother Hen “Flys Like A Ninja” To Aᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ The Hawk, And The Eɴᴇᴍʏ Dɪᴇs… Can’t Close Her Eyes

The mother hen is a well-known symbol of maternal love and protectiveness. This devotion is especially evident in the way that mother hens fiercely defend their chicks against any ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛ, including large predators such as hawks.

Hawks are a common predator of baby chickens, and a mother hen will stop at nothing to keep her chicks safe from ʜᴀʀᴍ. When a hawk approaches, the mother hen will quickly gather her chicks under her wings and begin to make loud, ᴅɪsᴛʀᴇssᴇᴅ calls to alert the rest of the flock to the ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀ. This serves to alert the other hens and roosters to the ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛ, who will then come to the aid of the mother hen and her chicks.

But the mother hen is not content to simply wait for help. She will also actively engage the hawk, using her sharp beak and strong claws to fight back against the predator. The mother hen will ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ the hawk with ferocity, sᴛʀɪᴋɪɴɢ it with her beak and attempting to peck at its eyes, which are a ᴠᴜʟɴᴇʀᴀʙʟᴇ spot for the bird of prey. If the hawk persists, the mother hen will use her body to shield her chicks and continue to ғɪɢʜᴛ the predator until it is driven away.

When the hawk was about to ʜᴀʀᴍ her chicks, the mother hen flew up and ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋᴇᴅ the raptor. Immediately after the hawk was dropped to the ground and did not let the enemy breathe, the mother hen rushed to ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ.

It constantly pecks or kicks the head, so the hawk cannot ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛᴇʀᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ. The dangerous blows also cause the hawk to ᴅɪᴇ soon after. Thereby it can be seen that when the chicks are in ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀ, the mother hen can do extraordinary things.
