Many people out there adopts dogs from shelters, but not many are willing to take in dogs with ᴅɪsᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs. Thanks to a very noble gesture, these doggies have been able to start again despite their ᴅɪsᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs.
They need more help and understanding than any other furry one, but that has not been a problem for Tracey Fowler. Her kindness and compassion have touched the hearts of many.
Tracey Fowler has always had a soft spot for dogs. It all started when she ʟᴏsᴛ her beloved German shepherd a few years ago. Then, she adopted all the dogs not usually picked up in the shelters.
Tracey Is Determined To Make A Difference
Tracey decided to adopts six ᴅɪsᴀʙʟᴇᴅ dogs from the local shelter. She knew these dogs would need extra care and attention, but she was willing to do whatever it took to give them a second chance at life.
She spent countless hours researching each dog’s condition, finding the proper ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴs, and adapting her home to accommodate their needs.
Fowler Herd Formed
And the dogs couldn’t be more grateful. One of them ꜰᴏᴜɢʜᴛ a ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ until he ʟᴏsᴛ the mobility in his legs. However, he was happy until the last day. She calls them The Fowler Herd.
“Hayden crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a ʙᴀᴛᴛʟᴇ with ᴅᴇɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴍʏᴇʟᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ.”
From that moment on, she honored him by helping other dogs with similar conditions.
“I currently have eight dogs. Six are special needs and two are German shepherds I had before adopting the others,” she said.
Thanks To Tracey’s Love And Dedication
The fact is, the Fowler Herd has lacked nothing. They’re all delighted playing together in the snow, always under Tracy’s care.
Despite what you might think, she says that caring for a ʜᴀɴᴅɪᴄᴀᴘᴘᴇᴅ dog isn’t so hard, although it takes dedication.
Thanks to Tracey’s love and dedication, these six ᴅɪsᴀʙʟᴇᴅ dogs have a new lease on life. They are no longer “unadoptable” but are beloved members of Fowler Herd’s family. The dogs enjoy running around the backyard, playing with their toys, and snuggling with their new mom.
Tracey hopes that her story will inspire others to adopt dogs with ᴅɪsᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs. She knows it takes a lot of work and patience, but the rewards are well worth it. These dogs may have ᴅɪsᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs, but they are full of love and are just as deserving of a second chance as any other dog.
